Congressman Stearns has offered to assist Vice president Barbee in obtaining permission to help Shot In The Gas enter into a research program at the University of Florida , Gainesville, Florida www.ufl.edu to test the ability of the SITG product to increase gas mileage and to reduce harmful emissions from the use of fossil fuel. The main test will be the result on Shot In The Gas and its ability to help clean up coal burning power plants worldwide. At the conclusion of a successful test, the results will be handed over to Florida Power , Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative , Progress Energy , and Teco, all Florida based power companies for further testing.
Successful testing of SITG product will make it possible for power generation plants worldwide to have the ability to burn coal much cleaner and help keep emissions under E.P.A. guide lines without spending millions of dollars installing air quality control devices.
