It seems most of the $volume on Monday January 3rd was geared towards higher-priced OTC and OTCBB stocks like commodity explorers Cougar Oil and Gas Canada Inc. (COUGF.OB), Greenland Minerals and Energy Ltd. (GDLNF.PK) or Lynas Corp. Ltd. (LYSCF.PK).
But a closer look revealed emerging opportunities elsewhere.
For instance, China Crescent Enterprises, Inc. (CCTR.OB) traded all-time high volume but only gained 5.88%. The company announced a record to financial performance in 2010.
Elsewhere, Salamon Group Inc. (SLMU.PK) is acquiring Sunlogics Power Fund Management Inc. in exchange for 40,000,000 shares of its stock. An SEC filing late this afternoon made the earlier announcement official.
United States Oil & Gas Corp. (USOG.PK) also saw unusually high share volume. While I couldn’t explain why it was moving higher, I’d like to give a shout-out to my comrades who featured the stock last evening in their STREET SENSE Video.
Other notable movers were computer games maker Left Behind Games Inc. (LFBG.OB, +25%) and business consultant Smart Holdings, Inc. (SMHS.PK, +41%).
