Social Media Ventures (SMVI) is an online media venture company, creating and acquiring niche social networking websites, revenue generating web sites and e-commerce properties.
Currently SMVI operates two social networking sites; www.petsplaces.com and www.rocktag.us. SMVI will integrate an online advertising program that focuses on attracting advertisers to its core demographics for each social networking site.

Social Networking Portal
SMVI’s social networking site, PetsPlaces.com has been spurred by the increased interest in pet owners interested in socializing with other pet owners who share the same enthusiasm and passion as they do. It is this passionate membership base of close to 5,000 members that SMVI plans to capitalize on through an increased marketing and advertising campaign. SMVI’s strategy is to integrate an online advertising program that focuses on attracting advertisers to its core demographics for each social networking site owned and operated by the Company. PetsPlaces has already begun to generate interest from pet service companies interested in advertising their products directly to members.
Internet Connectivity
SMVI also operates three Internet Service Providers (ISPs) which provide Internet connectivity to subscribers in the USA, specifically in the states of Pennsylvania and Alabama. The ISPs cater to two separate rural areas in the United States, Pennsylvania and Alabama. All three ISPs utilize an operational platform that is completely outsourced, providing SMVI with reduced costs. Management of SMVI plans to convert the home page of each ISP into its own social networking site to create an online local community for members as well as attract local advertisers.
Web Hosting
SMVI is in beta mode of launching its own web hosting company; www.netskyhost.com. SMVI is applying the same strategy as its ISP operational platform when operating its hosting company’s services. All of the services needed to operate NetSkyHost are outsourced. Management plans to acquire a web hosting company, transfer its web hosting subscribers to its web hosting platform, quickly providing economies of scale to its revenue model.
